Getting a lot colder here in Kansas City and autumn colors are approaching their peak. My favorite time of year!
TRAINING:
If you read last week's "Stick Chicktivity", I was lamenting the fact I couldn't go to the Datu Dieter Knüttel seminar down at my teacher's school in Texas.
Well, by mid-day, things came together and I was actually able to fly down to Texas Friday night and attend.
I wrote about it already (see Monday's post below), but long story short, I had a fantastic time. We covered some stick disarms and counters, finger locks, and self defense in and around your car and a knife disarm flow drill before I had to head back to Kansas City. It was a long, busy weekend of hard work, and fun, and friendship. So happy I went!
Monday, at Elite Dragon, we reviewed the material from Level 1 of our Presas Arnis Curriculum. I'm planning to promote folks this coming Monday so we can move on to Level 2 stuff in November. Now the fun REALLY begins!
Mr. Chick held down the fort at the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup last Sunday but I'm not sure what he covered because I have seen him a cumulative hour or so in the last week. Whatever it was I'm sure they had a lot of fun doing it (as we usually do - that Meetup is a blast).
BLOGGERY:

OTHER FUN STUFF:
No, I can't spell "Thesaurus" without looking it up, so I didn't spot the typo in this image.
I didn't see a lot of stuff this week because I wasn't online very much this week. It's a busy time of year.
FRIDAY THOUGHTS:
I'm kinda looking forward to a little down time tomorrow. My shoulder is better but isn't really *well* (I have some lingering... discomfort, I guess?... from the weekend) so more rest is a good idea. Oh, I'll still be at the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup this weekend but I'll be taking it super-easy. After all, I'm not Patrick Mahomes.
Y'all stay safe, have fun, and work hard!
