Stoopid shoulder *grumble grumble grumble*
Anyway, on Saturday I worked with the Elite Dragon Martial Arts demo team on inserting some Presas Arnis into their demo presentation that they're working on for several events coming up this month. They all picked up on it really quickly, which bodes well. I spent last night working with one team member who's going to do disarms in the demo and she is ROCKING it, y'all.
Sunday at the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup, we were working variants on what we call "policing techniques", which is what happens when someone tries to stop you from deploying your weapon (think riot baton, hence "policing" techniques). The process got us thinking about a lot of different inserts that are derived from these techniques that you can put into flow drills like sumbrada or sinawali or tapi-tapi and such, so it was a very profitable training session, indeed.

In fact, Facebook is really starting to annoy me. I try to react/respond to comments on the page for the Blog (I do appreciate each and every one, y'all) and apparently I did so too fast and it's tagged me as being a spammer ON MY OWN PAGE, and there's no way to fix it apparently. Between that and their apps being buggy (on my phone and in my browser on my PC), and wanting us to use 5 different apps for the same platform and they won't fix my ability to schedule posts unless I'm in "Incongito" mode...
I'm trying to be more active on MeWe, which I think is the most viable alternative (nice interface, lots of choices, great with privacy, no ads, and NOT BUGGY). Join MeWe and join our Stick Chick Blog group there, ok? And feel free to post martial arts content there, too - I want it to be more than just "here's another blog post".
There's also a Martial Arts Memes group I created there that I want you to post funny martial arts memes and videos and stuff in, so go do that too. :)

FRIDAY THOUGHTS
It's "Red Friday" in Kansas City, and its another reminder of how glad I am to be home. My beloved Kansas City Chiefs play their first game of the year on Sunday - Go Chiefs!
This morning I'm picking up my teacher at the airport and we'll be training with him all weekend long. SWEET!
