Well, kids, here we are.
I've been planning this for years, but the pending demise of Google Plus spurred me to take action. You see, the old blog was hosted on Blogger and it used G+ for comments. That kept the spam down, and yours truly happy in not having to moderate it much (and frankly, Blogger is SUPER EASY for a newbie to learn how to use).
But those days are over, so it's time to upgrade.
Welcome to the new Stick Chick Blog.
I'm still working out the kinks, and the format will change a little bit. You'll notice there's not much here yet, because I'm not migrating the old site to the new. That represented a complex problem that I decided to solve by running away from it completely.
New posts - and a couple of guest posts I'm lining up - will be published on Wednesdays, as usual, and the weekly wrap-up of martial arts doings and what-not will still be on Fridays for the foreseeable future.
On other days (Mon, Tue, Thu), I plan to re-work and re-publish old posts that have aged well, or I liked a bunch, or YOU GUYS liked a bunch. So you'll see a lot more "new" content for a while, but it's not NEW-new. It's just improved.
I like to think I've gotten better at this gig after five years, after all.
