My Week in Stick Chicktivity - 10/16/20
Here we go...
Yet another week of nerding out on sumbrada (aka 3-8-12 aka the 6 Count Drill aka the 6 Count Box Pattern) in the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup. We're working on inserts, specifically disarms. We also introduced the 10-count version (aka 3-8-5-12-12), which the group found really challenging but super-fun to train.
Over at Elite Dragon, we're just reviewing a lot of material in order to assess where our students stand in terms of progress. As my curriculum got blown up by COVID-19, I want to take the time to figure out who's where (as attendance has been pretty sporadic over the last 6 months).

Tuesday: The Only Woman on the Mat
Wednesday: The Lifers
Thursday: Why Do I Have To Keep Writing About This?
Thursday's post is one that I wrote in absolute frustration as I literally can't fathom why anybody would put people at risk over a HOBBY. It's literal insanity. I could rant about that for hours.
Come and joins us on your favorite social media channel. I'm on MeWe, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram. It's gifting season, so why not deck out your favorite martial arts buddy with Stick Chick Blog gear? SHOP HERE
OTHER FUN STUFF:
This one in particular resonates with me, as I am well-known as someone who does not find squatting in the woods in the heat and cold, and getting eaten by bugs, as "fun". I can absolutely see what might drive this woman to weaponizing small woodland creatures.
With Hock in town, I will barely lay eyes on Mr. Chick this weekend, and the Meetup is canceled this week. While it's probably a good thing I won't be moving around on my bum hip, I need training now more than I ever have. It's very frustrating.
November 11, hurry up and get here!
Stay safe, have fun, and keep training!
