I actually didn't get this written last week because of a last-minute work thing, so I'm catching y'all of on two weeks. My weekS in Stick Chicktivity.
Let's get started.
TRAINING:
At Elite Dragon Martial Arts Presas Arnis Class, we introduced several variants of disarms off the high forehand (#1) strike. We've also introduced them to playing block, check, counter, a core Modern Arnis drill.
At the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup, we've been covering similar material, so the two groups are sort of in the same place right now. However, the Meetup is a freewheeling, whatever-we-feel-like working on sort of session, and we have a goal of having this group into the basics of tapi-tapi as soon as we can get there. Why? Because it's material Mr. Chick and I want to practice!
The path is different for the Elite Dragon class (they'll get there but along a different route). We're following a curriculum there.
Either way, both classes are progressing nicely. Given I fear another lockdown is coming, I want them to get as much drill-based training in as possible while we still can.
On Mondays after Elite Dragon class, I'm teaching the first Bo pattern I learned in Kobudo. That's going really well!

FRIDAY THOUGHTS:
This weekend is my 52nd birthday (Sunday). I'll be teaching martial arts and going to the range to blow through a few boxes of ammunition.
Y'all stay safe, have fun, and keep training!
