My Week in Stick Chicktivity - 06/21/19

It is officially actual SUMMER, y'all! Of course, we can't tell here because of all the rain...

TRAINING

Like I do most weeks, I taught at the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup and had a blast.

We are continuing to work on blocking.

Mainly because I want to move on to more complicated material in the Meetup, and I want to be sure everyone is 100% comfortable with blocking, because they're going to have to be (insert evil laugh here).

We are two weeks out from the first Heartland Arnis Players Alliance gathering June 29. We have a Meetup about it (click HERE) as well as the Facebook event (HERE). Please spread the word and if you're in the area, come play with us!

BLOGGERY:

Monday: 5 Ways To Tell If You're Watching a Martial Arts Demo (vs. a Fight)

Tuesday: Brutal Self-Honesty: A Two Sides Coin

Wednesday: Should Martial Artists be Licensed

Thursday: Myth and Memory

Just TRY to avoid us online, because you CAN'T. We're on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and MeWe, and on Pinterest, too.

I'm going to stop telling you about the broken links eventually, but just in case you haven't heard, ANY links to the old blog published before 10/10/18 don't work due to server migration and upgrading this here blog. Capiche?

OTHER FUN STUFF:

This actually generated more commentary than I thought it would.

This is KICK ASS: Jamie Yancovitz & Kristen Cabildo Are Redefining The Practice Of Filipino Martial Arts For Women

This made me giggle, but this blog usually does: Monday’s Martial Madness: 3 Things Martial Artists Say, and What They Mean

And this is COOL:

FRIDAY THOUGHTS:

Mr. Chick is training with Hock Hochheim all weekend. I will be hanging out with the kidlets and of course training at the Meetup.

IS IT FOOTBALL SEASON YET?

Y'all stay good and keep training.
