My Week in Stick Chicktivity - 06/12/20
Finally, a productive week!
We had our first "live" session of the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup since early March, and it was awesome.
We're going to be reviewing old material and what we covered in the virtual Meetups for a while.
We worked on review of sinawali as a warm-up, then we worked on our defensive responses using a staff to feed strikes so our students could stay out at long range and still work footwork that requires stepping in. It was a very fun and productive session and wow was it nice to be back.
At the Elite Dragon Presas Arnis class, we worked on both Baston (or Itak) Anyo Isa (form 1) as well as the empty-hand verison. We reviewed applications (bunkai). And we ended with sinawali because you can't have an Arnis class without banging SOME sticks.
Best week of training in a long time, even if I had a bursitis flare-up in the Elite Dragon class and was hobbling around a little bit.

Alternatively, you could read "Ways I can defeat every other martial arts style but mine" in nine volumes.
Damn straight. If it ain't fun, no point to doing it.
This weekend Mr. Chick is training all weekend with Hock Hochheim, so I'll host the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup solo and virtually. It's always great when he gets to train with his peeps!
Y'all stay safe, have fun, and keep training.
