My Week in Stick Chicktivity - 06/05/20

Another bust of a week - but not as bad as last week. I'll explain.

TRAINING:

Saturday I attended a couple of online seminars.

I went to the Evolution XMA Multi-Style online seminar. There were three sessions going at the same time from 9 am - 4 pm central, so there were lots to choose from. I attended sessions about karate movement (hey, I can branch out) as well as mostly FMA sessions about Balintiwak and Modern Arnis. There were sessions I couldn't attend (beause of conflicting times) that I wish I could have.

In the middle of all that, Datu Tim Hartman had a session on Anyos (forms) that I also attended. It was on Baston/Itak Anyo Isa as well as the espada y daga interpretation of that form.

Oh, and I took a few minutes to watch SpaceX Falcon 9 Dragon successfully take off from American soil and put two Americans (one of which was two years behind me at my high school) into space for the first time in 11 years.

Saturday night, I started getting sick again.

I powered through teaching the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup on Sunday and the Elite Dragon Presas Arnis class on Monday. But it was not easy. When I was not teaching and working, I was asleep.

Tough week.

BLOGGERY:

Yeah, it was all reruns this week. I was not up to writing. Sorry, but hey, some of these were pretty good, looking back...

Thursday: Punching Up

Connect with the Stick Chick Blog MeWe, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram. There's a Pinterest board but keeping that up has been too difficult since Hootsuite decided it can't post there any more.

OTHER FUN STUFF:

I think this one hit a little close to home for some of us:

Another really good video from Iain Abernathy on Self Defense:

FRIDAY THOUGHTS:

Sunday will be our first live, in-person session of the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup since March. Very excited to be back on the mat.

Ya'll stay safe, have fun, and keep training!
