My Week in Stick Chicktivity - 05/22/20

On the one hand, it's almost June. On the other hand, this year has been five years long already...

Let's do this.

TRAINING

Exciting week here! The Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup had its first hour-long Sunday morning session (we've switched to Google Meet so we can do that), we converted our Sunday night to Force Necessary/PAC curriculum, and on Wednesday we learned the Super Sinawali.

By the way, YOU can join us - go to the link for the Meetup above and check it out!

But the big news was that we had our first live, in-person Presas Arnis class since early March at Elite Dragon on Monday night. We focused on largo range drills, anyos, and we used a 6 foot staff to work hitting drills. A successful class, and wow was it great to be back training with people who aren't Mr. Chick again!

We're going to re-open the Meetup Sunday mornings on June 7.

BLOGGERY:

Thursday: Risk Management

Heck yeah you can find us online! Find us on on MeWe, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Pinterest.

Since you'll probably be leaving your house soon, why not do it in style? Get your gear from the Stick Chick Blog shop! SHOP HERE

OTHER FUN STUFF:

Of course, that special room is my basement... wait, I don't think that came out right either...

I'll be going to this, and you can too:

FRIDAY THOUGHTS:

Holiday weekend - and I could use a break (work's been super-busy lately). I'm not going to complain too much, because millions of Americans are out of work and I'm not. I'm very lucky and grateful for that.

Speaking of which, more and more martial arts schools (not to mention millions of small businesses of all kinds) are trying to open so they don't have to close down completely. If you possibly can, make sure you're involved and helping your favorite school get back up and running again, ok?

This weekend is Memorial Day, when we remember those who died in the service of our country. Take a moment for them, will you? Thanks.

Y'all stay safe, have fun, and keep training!
