My Week in Stick Chicktivity - 05/03/19

Helllloooo May! Let's do this!

TRAINING

I worked on anyos (forms) on Saturday, and then Sunday morning we hosted the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup .

Well, actually, Mr. Chick hosted the Meetup, as I had to run to the airport and pick up my teacher, who flew in from Texas at short notice to train with me!

We worked on a lot of material we're preparing to test on in a couple of weeks for the World Modern Arnis Alliance. It was a very productive day, and man, it was so good to have my teacher around for a few hours to bounce thoughts off of and to practice with! AWESOME day!

BLOGGERY:

Wednesday: Under Pressure

Keep up with the Stick Chick Blog on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and MeWe, and on Pinterest, too. The Facebook page is where we're most active, so give us a like and follow, will ya?

Note: ANY links to the old blog published before 10/10/18 that you run across online are gonna be broken, busted, and completely lead NOWHERE.

OTHER NEATO BURRITO STUFF:

As someone who is often the demo partner for my teacher - I'm not always 100% certain where he's gonna go...

Remy Presas, founder of Modern Arnis, teaching at a seminar in Michigan in 1999. This video has some Modern Arnis fundamental blocks vs. the 12 angles of attack.

And here's Ernesto Presas, doing his thing so well...

FRIDAY THOUGHTS:

I actually have a big - and happy - family event this weekend, so I won't be hosting the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup this week. That's okay, we'll catch up double next week.

Stay safe, train hard, and have fun, kids.
