Thunderstorms are rolling in. It's definitely spring here in Kansas City!
TRAINING
We had another great Sunday morning session at the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup. We warmed up with sinawali, then we trained some blocking and checking drills as we are working our way up to playing sumbrada. In case you don't know what I mean by sumbrada, when I was originally taught it, we called it 3-8-12 or a box drill. Check out the video below for what it is. Very fun!

OTHER NEATO BURRITO STUFF
When that lock gets set in a little too far, and Sensei says...
This week's "Showdown Saturday" question is still active if you wanna get in on it: Do you put your own martial arts videos on the internet? Why or why not?
Awww yiissssss.
I'm not the only one getting excited for "Avengers: End Game":
FRIDAY THOUGHTS
This week marked the one-year anniversary of our our purchase of our house in Kansas City (I didn't move until June, though...). Hard to believe that the year has passed by so quickly!
Tonight I plan to attend a panantukan class, which I hope to start attending regularly on Friday nights. Yay!
Hope your week was a hum-dinger for all the good reasons, y'all. Keep training!
