HAPPY WOLFENOOT, everyone!
It's a holiday week here in the US, and I've been enjoying it to the fullest! How's your week been?
TRAINING
Saturday morning we had a good time working on some Sinawali fine-tuning at the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup. It was a bit warmer than last week - not that it was warm, mind you!
Monday night I skipped Karate because I had to watch the greatest Monday Night Football game of all time. I give it a 9/10 rating. If you know the score, you know why I can't give it 10/10.
Wednesday morning I worked with my private Arnis student, then I got my COOKING on, y'all. The holidays kicked in, and I cooked, ate too much, and hung out with family.
Oh, and we adopted this little guy!
BLOGGERY
Monday: THAT GUY: Whatever Guy
Wednesday: Sinawali: Getting the Most out of It: Pt. 2
Thursday: Didn't post: I was busy, y'all!
Yup, you can find The Stick Chick Blog on most popular social media platforms! Look for us on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and MeWe, and hey, I've got a Pinterest board, and I post on Google Plus too, until Google pulls the plug.
Are any of you guys on Minds? Would you be interested in Stick Chick Blog content there?
Note: ANY links to the old blog published before 10/10/18 that you run across online are now broken. They're as gone as the hopes of being able to wear those flip-flops and shorts out shopping anywhere around Kansas City for the foreseeable future.
OTHER NEATO BURRITO STUFF
It's Thanksgiving this week, and nope, that's not gonna help you, Turkey.
On Saturdays I'm asking you guys your opinion about various topics in the martial arts, often controversial topics. These are "Showdown Saturday" posts. This week I asked you guys if you think forms (kata, poomsae, anyos, etc.) are useless. Here's the link to the topic on Facebook if you want to chime in.
But then this meme crossed my feed...
And here's two doses of truth for y'all.
FRIDAY THOUGHTS
Even though they lost, so proud of my Chiefs in the game Monday night. It may have been the best NFL game I've personally seen. Hey, they're still 9-2 and the #1 seed in the conference, soooooo.... we're good.
I didn't publish a "Gratitude" post this year, so briefly, let me just say thank you to my teachers, my training partners, my students, my family, and YOU, dear readers, and everyone who interacts with the Blog on social media. When you write like this, you're never sure if anybody will see or like what you do, so every comment, like, or share is always appreciated.
Tomorrow we're on for the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup at Happy Rock Park, but we're hoping we'll be able to make a big announcement about that Meetup soon.
Keep your eye on the Century Martial Arts blog this upcoming week. Juuusst sayin'.
If it's Thanksgiving week for you, I hope it was awesome. Everyone else, you can still celebrate Wolfenoot today no matter where you are, and I hope your week in the martial arts is fun and productive.
Be good - or a least try a little, will ya?
