Tough week. I'll explain.
TRAINING:
Mr. Chick was busy training all weekend with Hock Hochheim, so I was carrying the baton teaching the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup virtually.
We covered hand/stick exchange drills. If you don't train it, you don't think of it when the moment comes, and honestly, it's kind of a fun skill to develop.
I also went by and took a lot of pictures of the training, and by the end of the weekend, my tweaked hip was hurting as much as ever.
So Mr. Chick helped me out teaching Presas Arnis at Elite Dragon Martial Arts, because I am officially taking it super-easy for the next few weeks. I have a camp coming up in July and I'll be damned if I can't train then!
In that Elite Dragon class we covered the first stick and empty hand Anyos, then moved on to Defensive Responses 1, 2 and 3. Fun, even if I'm a little hobbled right now.

Yes, Mr. Chick and I are teaching a session. We now come in a unit, as you can see!
Same weekend, but in Texas, also worth your time/money/energy if you're in that part of the world: World Modern Arnis Alliance 4th Annual Texas Camp
FRIDAY THOUGHTS:
Having to take it easy for the next few weeks to allow some healing to happen in my should and my hip is easier said than done, but it's all I can do so I can do all the training I've planned in July and August.
I don't have to like it. Grrr.
Y'all stay safe, have fun, and keep training.
