My Week in Stick Chicktivity - 06/07/19

It may not be officially summer yet, but it's getting HOT here in the Midwest!

I've been practicing forms in my spare time, but my real training day these days are Sundays, and wow, I had me a busy Sunday last week.

First, I continued working with one of our new participants on basics in the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup. She's taking to what we do really well and I think I'll be able to integrate her into the rest of the Meetup really soon.

Later that afternoon, Mr. Chick and I trained with friends at Elite Dragon Martial Arts. We met them via our Texas connections, and we finally got to train a bit together (you know how coordinating busy schedules can be). It was a long and productive session of banging sticks, and we all hope to work together a lot more in the near future.

By nightfall, my arms were about to fall off, but it was a super-fun day.

Wednesday: To Learn, Teach

There are figuratively a BILLION ways to connect with the Stick Chick Blog on social media. Find us on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and MeWe, and on Pinterest, too. Facebook is the busiest place, so give us a like!

Note: ANY links to the old blog published before 10/10/18 that you run across online are as dead as a June Bug that dares to fly into my house. June bugs are GROSS and EVIL.

All things considered, it might be a silly thing to get my panties in a wad about, but... STOP IT.

Long-time readers of the blog know how I feel about people who dance around with a wall-hanger katana calling themselves "swordsmen". THIS, my friends, is swordsmanship.

We are organizing the first gathering of the Heartland Arnis Players Alliance! Four instructors from different styles, teaching the Filipino Martial Arts right here in Kansas City! If you want to meet and train with me... here's your chance! Event details below and on Facebook HERE.

Stay safe, have fun, train hard, and LET'S GO BLUES!
