My Week in Stick Chicktivity - 04/12/19
Gotta admit, life has been a struggle the past few weeks, so let's just get this started, y'all.
I spent my Friday night at a new class doing some Panantukan drills and it was awesome. I'm going to go on Friday nights for the foreseeable future because it's fun.
Saturday I fine-tuned new (to me) versions of the Modern Arnis stick Anyos and Mr. Chick and I played with some new sinawali patterns.
That sinawali review inspired us to do the same at the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup, so it was sinawali all session long, as we had fun playing with chaining sinawali (always fun)!
Nice productive training week, although it just about blew my shoulder off.
Monday: Getting Old Sucks
Tuesday: Martial Arts is a Piece of Cake!
Wednesday: DOJO DENIZENS: The Preservationist
Thursday: Planning for Failure
Note: ANY links to the old blog published before 10/10/18 that you run across online are now busted.
OTHER NEATO BURRITO STUFF:
As far as I'm concerned, it's a necessary household expense, so it's not necessary to hide the actual cost of the swords.
Now this is the kind of ground fighting I can get into:
Getting back into a more active martial arts routine feels great. I haven't found my "permanent" full-time martial arts home yet, but still, it feels good to get out there and play.
Hope you had a fantastic week, and enjoy your weekend!
