Trees are budding and the rains keep a'coming... it's April already? Sheesh.
TRAINING
Sunday morning I led the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup. We had some new participants, so I had our long-term folk work on sinawali chaining and perfecting their sumbrada play, while I taught our newbies single sinawali and the 12 angles of attack. Fun morning!
BLOGGERY
Tuesday: Martial Arts Ruins Everything
Thursday: Of Meat and Tools
You can find the Stick Chick Blog on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and MeWe, and on Pinterest, too. The Facebook page gets the most traffic as I post other stuff there than just this blog. Check it out!
Note: ANY links to the old blog published before 10/10/18 that you run across online are now broken. Busted. Defective. Fractured. Mangled. Shattered. Mutilated.
OTHER NEATO BURRITO STUFF
This is one of the more popular things I've ever shared on my blog's Facebook page. Interesting. Does anybody out there know the originator of the image? I'd like to credit them properly.
Oooo, good stuff.
You can still chime in on this week's "Showdown Saturday" question: How much control over a martial arts student's life should a teacher/dojo have?
FRIDAY THOUGHTS
We've had a very rough week at my house. I don't want to divulge the details, but if you can send a little warm positive vibes our way, it's appreciated.
I hope you guys had a productive and fun week training. Have a great weekend!
